China's shift in COVID response policies are adherence to original intention, logic

Over three years, China has been re-evaluating and adjusting its policies to meet the needs of saving lives and ensuring socioeconomic development.  Nine editions of the Protocol on Prevention and Control of Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia through has been published according to the situation. On December 7, 2022, China announced 10 prevention and control measures to further optimize its COVID-19 response. According to Liang Wannian, head of the COVID-19 response expert panel under the NHC, China will take the best control measures for the Chinese people to minimize impact on people's livelihoods.
